WRNK HISTORY
Thank you for visiting wrnk.org. We began this journey in June 2000 filing with the FCC for a Low Power FM Radio in our city, Lanett, Alabama. Many struggles and conflicts ensued until it looked as if our dream of having a locally owned praise and worship radio station would surely die. Through the Divine intervention of God, and the favor of our local AM station owner, WRNK began broadcasting on 96.3FM on May 11, 2004 at 8:08pm.
Time will not allow me to share every struggle we went through, but I can declare to you where God guides, He really provides! He provided us engineers to help us (R&S Communications of Lanett & Harper Engineering, Auburn.) Without them, the transmitter would have caught fire when I plugged it up. God also provided Phil and Kathy Teague to oversee the day-to-day operations of the station while Pam and I continue to fufull our very busy traveling schedule. He provided the vision and technology to stream our signal to the Internet, thereby enabling people all over the world to listen. He provided us a Pastor and Home church (The Bridge, Cusseta, AL) to believe in us, encourage us and support this work. And surely God has provided people just like you to support this outreach of Revival Now Ministries with your prayers as well as your financial support.
As the commercial says: “because of you, it’s working…” All of us, together, being obedient to God’s call on our lives, doing our individual part, accelerating the message of repentance, restoration and revival!
A New Beginning
Today is a day of new beginnings in the life of WRNK. This afternoon David Copeland officially signed over the complete operation of WRNK to Contact Ministries Center in Valley, Alabama. Pastors John and Natalie Eldridge have already been serving as station managers for the last couple of months, but today they officially take the helm as the owners. They will serve the station and our hometowns of Lanett and Valley well.
It has always been a dream of David for the twenty years he has lived in the Lanett area to own and operate a 24 hour Christian radio station, that served (or attempted to serve) the entire body of Christ, not just one tribe or denomination. This has been his desire and this will continue to be the main focus in the years to come.
Pam and I love you all; we will continue to support WRNK with our prayers and financial support and I encourage you to do the same! We will continue to travel across the U.S. believing God that it is time for revival in America! Please pray for our continued ministry in Guyana and the many other nations of the world in which God has opened doors for us, that He will use us to reap and keep the harvest of souls He is bring into His kingdom…for such a time as this!
