Adopt-A-Day
With a donation of $100.00 or more, donors are entitled to “sponsor” the day of their choice, provided that no other donor has already reserved that date and that date does not fall during one of our on air support campaigns. To insure adequate production time, dates should be requested at least one week in advance.
As an acknowledgement of sponsorship, the Adopt-A-Day Sponsor will receive on air credits on the chosen day. Credits may be a simple statement of sponsorship, e.g. “Today’s programs are made possible in part by John Doe”. Credits may also include a dedication line, e.g. “Today’s programs are made possible in part by John Doe, in celebration of the birthday of Danny Doe.” Adopt-A-Day sponsorship messages may be a maximum of 15 seconds long when read in an even, unhurried manner.
Some examples of Adopt-A-Day sponsorship scripts that meet the guidelines:
“Today’s programs are made possible in part…
…by John and Jenny Doe, in celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary.”
…by John and Jenny Doe, in memory of Jessica Doe.”
…by John and Jenny Doe, in celebration of the 12th birthday of their son Jason.”
…by John and Jenny Doe, in support of Guyana Missions.”
…by John and Jenny Doe, honoring the dedicated volunteers of Sav-A-Life.”
Day Sponsorships are available only to individual contributors. Individuals may recognize an organization, but cannot include descriptive or qualitative language about that organization. Day Sponsorships are non-transferable and may not be donated to any third party. However if you wish to honor an organization, e.g. “Today’s programming is made possible in part by John Doe, in recognition of the work of Contact Ministries Center, in Valley, Al.”
FCC regulations require the identification of any contributor who receives an on-air message in recognition of their donation. As a result, WRNK-FM does not accept anonymous Adopt-A-Day Sponsorships.
Day Sponsorship dedications must be personal, non-controversial, non-commercial, non-promotional and in good taste. Language referencing political campaigns or candidates is not accepted. These limitations are necessary to preserve the integrity and success of the Adopt-A-Day Sponsorship program.
WRNK’s Program Manager will review and have final approval on the text of all Adopt-A-Day Sponsorship Messages.
